WELCOME TO ANNA MARIA ISLAND

Anna Maria Island is a barrier island on Florida’s Gulf Coast. It is known for its broad beaches, like Manatee Beach Park. In the small resort city of Anna Maria, Pine Avenue is lined with shops, galleries and eateries. Anna Maria Island Historical Society Museum features a restored 1920 cottage. Nearby, the wooden City Pier dates from 1911. In Bradenton Beach City, Bridge Street Market sells food, art and jewelry.

Legend states that "a Spanish explorer" named the place "Ana Maria Cay" in honor of the Virgin Mary and her mother, Ann. A common myth reported that Ponce de León named the island for Maria Anna von der Pfalz-Neuburg, the queen of Charles II of Spain, the sponsor of his expedition.

 Our luxurious home during the retreat is only one block from the sugary white sands of Holmes Beach with public beach access just a short walk away. Take a stroll to the beach to watch the beautiful sunset each evening at Bean Point. Free Trolley Service runs on the island and the house is within walking distance to shops and Pine Avenue.

TROPICAL SETTING

Home features multiple private terraces, a large heated private pool with lushly landscaped grounds and six generously-sized suites enhance guest comfort and offer plenty of space for relaxing moments. The two laundry rooms - one on the main floor and the second, located on the second floor across from two bedrooms. ​ The house has an elegant coastal design with Pottery Barn and custom furnishings throughout.

 The large airy living room features an expansive open floor plan with large windows opening to the tropical garden. Rustic whitewashed wood flooring on the main floor adds warmth and sophistication to this beautiful home.

The kitchen has plenty of room for several cooks and is fully stocked with small appliances and everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal. The dining table seats six-to-eight guests while the large center island can accommodate an additional three-to-four guests. Additional dining can be found on the pool terrace where an outdoor dining area can accommodate up to six guests at the brand new dining table.
